Round Braided Endless Belts

Round Braided Endless Belts are custom manufactured in one continuous loop to form a lightweight, flexible belt for vibration-free operation at high speeds, resulting in a longer belt life when compared to round urethane belts.
Round Braided Endless Belts are manufactured with cotton, polyester and Nomex®using a variety of treatments such as neoprene, urethane, Viton® and PTFE coatings depending on your requirement. Round Braided Endless Belts can also be left with no added treatment if so required.
When compared to extruded polyurethane belts, the vibration-free operation of these braided endless belts reduces heat build-up, thinning and stretching.

Round Urethane Belts
Belting Industries also offers round polyurethane cord for a wide range of applications. The cord is a high quality, precision-made product. It offers tensile strengths up to 8,000 psi, flexibility, temperature resistance from -60 degrees F to 22 degrees F. It also offers abrasion resistance and is highly resistant to most chemicals including oxygen, ozone, oils, and grease.
Engraving motors, dental laboratory drills, sanders and numerous other specialty applications that require speeds to 60,000 rpm can operate successfully using Round Braided Endless Belts. Belts of spun polyester with urethane treatment provide flexibility and vibration-free operation. For heavier jobs, such as machining steel parts, treated or untreated cotton or nylon braided belts are often used. Belts can be made untreated or with treatment for applications requiring a higher coefficient of friction.
The packaging industry requires belts that resist humidity and moisture. Round Braided Endless Belts treated with neoprene or manufactured with spun polyester or continuous filament polyester will work exceptionally well to meet the demands of this application.
In designs calling for multi-plane drives or misaligned pulleys, Round Braided Endless Belts with oven-cured urethane cover treatments offer the abrasion resistance required for satisfactory belt life. On equipment where a partial twist is required, Round Braid Endless Belts are used instead of O-rings of comparable diameters.
Round Braided Endless Belts constructed of cotton and diverse materials, offer great flexibility, durability and overall strength. In applications using small pulleys in confined space these belts outperform extruded round belts or O-rings of comparable diameters.
Round Braided Endless Belts constructed with Nomex® aramid fiber can operate successfully in most demanding environments. Round Braided Endless Belts with Nomex®, for example, can withstand temperature to 500°F without fiber degradation. Because they resist chemicals and radiation (X-ray, gamma rays) these belts are useful in the textile industry in heat setting applications where chemicals are present and in medical applications where products must be irradiated.
Belts fabricated with a Nomex® inner core and covered with PTFE are virtually impervious to chemicals, radiation and high temperatures, plus provide a non-stick surface. Belts can also be treated with Viton® or silicone depending upon product application.
